Dragon Leisure were proud to be asked to help make a stunning spectacle at the opening of the Severn Valley Railway Diesel Depot recently.
At the official opening of the facility, whilst Sir Peter Hendy CBE, chairman of Network Rail, unveiled a commemorative plaque in the shed, and in front of the large audience of invited guests, the guests applauded, Fanfare to the Common Man was sounded from all around the vast depot building. One of the roller shutter doors opened and through the smoke from dry ice, and with blue and yellow themed lighting (matching the livery of the engine) Class 50 No. 50035 Ark Royal made a dramatic entrance to the shed.
This was an unusual job for the Dragon Leisure team, as it involved rigging lighting and sound in a busy working railway area. The team worked closely with the SVR staff to ensure all appropriate health and safety working procedures were adhered to.
We have an amazing list of clients from all industries and places.
